WorkCare today announced that it has joined the APM Group, a leading global provider of health and human services.

APM supports more than 2 million people each year across employment services, health and wellbeing, disability support, and community-based programs. APM is focused on enabling better lives by enhancing a person’s health and wellbeing, independence, employability, and social and economic participation in their community.

The acquisition brings together two organizations with a shared commitment to improving outcomes for individuals and the organizations that support them. WorkCare has spent more than 40 years delivering occupational health services focused on prevention, early intervention, and workforce well-being. As part of APM, WorkCare will continue to build on this foundation while expanding its ability to support employers with integrated workforce health solutions.

According to WorkCare founder and Chief Medical Officer, Peter P. Greaney, M.D., “Building WorkCare over the past 40-plus years has been one of the great privileges of my life. As I thought about the future of the company, it was important to find an organization that not only understood what makes WorkCare special, but could help take it even further. I believe APM is the right fit to support the next chapter of growth and opportunity for our people, our clients, and the business.”

For WorkCare clients and partners, there is no change to how services are delivered today. WorkCare will continue to operate as a trusted occupational health provider, with the same teams, services, and commitment to quality and responsiveness.

This positions WorkCare for continued growth, with the opportunity to:

  • Expand capabilities across occupational health and workforce well-being
  • Extend reach to serve organizations with national and global workforces

“This is an exciting step forward for WorkCare,” said Aaron Atkinson, CEO of WorkCare. “APM brings a global perspective, strong alignment in mission, and a long-term commitment to growth. Together, we are well positioned to continue delivering meaningful outcomes for our clients and the people they support.”

David Sagar, CEO of APM in the United States, added, “WorkCare is a highly respected organization with deep expertise in occupational health. We are proud to welcome the team to APM and look forward to building on their strong foundation to expand our impact in workforce health and employer services.”
