Our History

WorkCare acquired the HPM Corporation (HPMC) in 2023, changed its name to Hanford Occupational Healthcare and Wellness Inc (HOHW) and created WorkCare Government Services as a wholly owned subsidiary of HOHW. This combination features 20 years of medical service government contractor experience and 40 successful years providing occupational health solutions to employers in the U.S. and selected international locations.

Related parent company contracts include one from 2004 to 2012 in which HPMC was a subcontractor to the CSC Company in support of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Hanford Site in southeast Washington. The Handford Site, which was established in the 1940s as a plutonium production complex for the Manhattan Project, is now the nation’s largest environmental cleanup project. In 2008, HPMC was pre-selected as a small business contractor to the Mission Support Alliance in support of the Hanford Site. In 2012, the company was awarded the DOE’s Hanford Occupational Medicine Services prime contract, with responsibility for providing occupational health and medical services to more than 9,000 Hanford Site employees. The contract was competitively re-awarded to HPMC in 2018 and continued through 2023. HPMC also provided occupational health services at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration George C. Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL, from 2008 to 2019.

With over 60 collective years of experience in occupational health care, WorkCare Government Services enhances any government employer-sponsored occupational medical benefit program by keeping employees healthy and working.
