Dr. Pereira joined WorkCare in 2020 as an Associate Medical Director providing medical consulting, injury care, fitness-for-duty assessments and disability services to client companies. Her expertise includes worker’s compensation injury management, employee health, work-related medical exams, medical surveillance and disability consultation. She is a qualified member of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Medical Examiner Registry. Dr. Pereira earned her Medical Doctorate and Master of Science in Anatomy degrees at Des Moines University. She completed an occupational medicine residency at HealthPartners, St. Paul, MN, and received her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Minnesota. She also completed three years of anesthesiology training at the University of Iowa.
